CHA University of Medical Science aims to create a new paradigm in medical industrialization by linking biomedical research and medical science education. It was founded with the advanced philosophy of the first president, Cha Kwang Ryeol, and a sense of mission to ‘give health and hope to humanity.’

Today, our society is moving toward an unknown world that we have never experienced before. In the midst of a huge transition in the history of civilization, the rapid development of science and technology brought about by the development of information and communication and big data-based artificial intelligence is completely changing the environment of university education and research. Today, as the president of the university, I would like to present the following blueprint to achieve a ‘university that considers and leads the future of students.’

First, we want to prepare a curriculum that responds to social change. In an era of rapid change due to the destructive technological revolution, the ability to adapt to change is a necessity to be able to lead one’s own life.
We will prepare a new educational environment to equip students with major abilities that link convergence capabilities with humanities and science and technology such as artificial intelligence as the basic knowledge for fostering creative talent. In particular, we will create a career development roadmap based on job competencies needed in society so that students can choose their own curriculum.

Secondly, we provide quality educational content by building a digital campus. With the advent of the smart society, the online parallel education system has become an unavoidable trend.
The rapidly developing knowledge delivery media is breaking down the boundaries between universities and countries.

Our university will not stop at converting lecture content online but will provide quality education to students by actively linking excellent teaching resources between domestic and foreign universities. Now, we will break away from the idea that learning is only possible in the classroom and establish an open education system so that students anywhere can learn living knowledge on their own and have the ability to solve problems.

Thirdly, we will actively respond to the future network society.

In a network society, who you are connected to and how you are connected becomes a source of competitiveness. Rather than being complacent, we will further strengthen globalization and build a network for exchange and cooperation with various institutions such as between universities and between universities and local communities. Our university will create a future educational community as a ‘university that connects and opens new paths.’

Amidst the numerous tasks ahead of us, we hope to find hope by recalling the success DNA of our CHA Group, which is change and challenge.
Our university will realize world-class education through the convergence of health, medicine, and life sciences, and realize the success story of industry-academia cooperation.

As the saying goes, ‘a calm sea cannot make a skilled boatman,’ our university will continue to challenge and change at every moment and continue to develop.
